Urban Rooftop Garden in Park Slope, Brooklyn

This rooftop transformation in Park Slope turned an old wooden deck into a lush garden retreat. We resurfaced the roofing membrane, installed concrete pavers with a pedestal support system, and built a wooden pergola with a retractable canopy. Smart irrigation sustains the evergreens and flowering plants in custom planters, creating a green, welcoming atmosphere.

Highlights of the Rooftop Transformation

Our design features include a wooden pergola with a retractable canopy shade, perfect for enjoying the sun or relaxing in the shade. The canopy is easily removable for winter storage or cleaning, providing both convenience and functionality. To bring the client’s love for greenery to life, we installed pre-fabricated planters filled with evergreens and flowering plants. An integrated smart irrigation system, hidden below the pavers, automatically waters the plants to ensure everything remains lush with minimal effort.

  • Concrete Pavers: Installed with a pedestal system, making it easy to inspect or service the roof membrane while ensuring a durable and even floor surface.
  • Wooden Pergola: Features a retractable canopy shade, removable for easy storage or washing.
  • Planters & Irrigation: Pre-fabricated planters filled with evergreens and flower plants, sustained by a smart irrigation system routed beneath the pavers for automatic watering.
